This part of the S line is busy and makes up for the other 635 miles to the north of Jacksonville that are either downgraded or abandoned all together. This S line double track is over 20 miles long from Baldwin south to Newnan, just south of Starke.

Description:  NS train 213 rolls south on track 1 and under the new signals are being installed in the control point called Cherokee in downtown Gaffney. New signals and a new type system is going in to get rid of the code line based system. The project will eventually retire many of the original Southern Railway signals.
